As some of you may have noticed, the BinaryFreedom.com address no longer resolves. Due to issues with the original registrar about transferring the domain name, we were forced to wait until the expiration and re-register the domain. And, as Murphy's Law would have it, the worst possible thing that could happen did. We went to register the domain name again and gasp! Someone else had taken the name
for the apparent purpose of extorting monies from us to return it.
The primary focus of System Toolbox has been that of a community site for System
Administrators - not a profit machine. To this end, we've decided to let the Domain
name go and not to pursue negotiations with the slime who squatted it.
On a more positive note, System Toolbox has passed its one-year anniversary and
we'd like to say that we're happy to have the support that we've received in this time.
We're intending to make some minor format changes, particularly being the inclusion of
links on the main page, along with the current articles.
Finally, we'd like to extend an open invitation to our readers to submit articles for
the site. The purpose of the site is to share knowledge within the community of system
administrators; Sysadmin's aren't all good writers, but that's why we have editors at System
Toolbox. Have a tip? Write it down, Send it in. Have a Link? Feel free to submit it?
Review a new product? Problems with a product? Send it to us and share it with your
fellow System Administrators.
